John Corella has always had a love for storytelling and entertainment. It all started with acting and modeling at the age of 5, when John appeared in short films and commercials. As a teenager, his talents evolved to dance, and by the time he reached high school, he won the national title of Mr. Dance Of America. In 1992, John appeared on CBS’s Star Search with Britney Spears. John spent the next decade dancing professionally for Prince, Toni Braxton, and other artists. He has performed at Radio City Music Hall, and on the prestigious Academy Awards, The American Music Awards, The Late Show and The Tonight Show. He has appeared as a professional dancer in films like the cult classic Austin Powers, Golden Globe nominated 500 Days of Summer, and Stuck on You, to name a few. John has had the honor of working with such greats as Paula Abdul, Kenny Ortega, Adam Shankman and Frank Gatson.

In 2007, John opened Corella Dance LLC. He also started the nationally recognized Corella Dance Company, a competitive dance company. His experiences of owning his own dance company and working with local dance moms, as well as growing up in the dance competition world, led him to create his first unscripted television project, Lifetime’s hit series Dance Moms, which is now in its 5th season. Having a natural eye for talent and marketability, John is also an executive producer and responsible for Mackenzie Ziegler’s music albums. John can now add his eye for producing, recognizing talent and branding to his laundry list of talents. John is currently creating several new projects and continues to utilize what he loves and is passionate about as a launchpad for great things.
